Accessories Car and Desktop Docks

Has ANYONE had any luck fitting a case into the official Verizon car dock? It's insane that they would advertise it as fitting with cases, then fail to make sure that it actually does.

Also, forgive my ignorance, but can I assume that the desktop dock also won't fit with a case? It sounds like it's already a tight fit...

I don't have any experience with the desktop dock, but the car dock has a plastic insert which can be removed to accomodate some cases. I've seen some threads already talking about how it works for them. A few have further modified it by dremeling out an area that protrudes too.

Some people have been able to get the bbrocketfish case to fit with modding the car dock, I did and it works. It's not hard to mod the dock if you have a dremmel tool, I used the sandpaper attachment and made it work and the rocketfish case is pretty sweet looking and slim.
