Car and extra chargers?

I love it when they redesign newer phones and then you have to purchase ALL new chargers for the car and extra ones.

Anyone finding any particular one to be better than the others or any of them working OK for you?

I am talking about an all in one deal to just throw in the car and leave it there if you need it...not just a cigarette/USB plug.

Really? So, it doesn't have to be the USB 3.0 cable? Cool. I have a ton of those chargers already.

Thanks!

USB 3.0 provides no additional power pins, only extra data pins. The USB 2.0 cable will charge your phone fine. In fact, the included charger only provides the USB 2.0 pins, so using the included USB 3.0 cable with the included charger doesn't actually do anything different than just using a USB 2.0 cable.

Do keep in mind that some charger will not provide enough current for the Note 3! I'd make sure you have at least a 2 Amp charger, and that it's shorting out the D+/D- pins, otherwise your Note 3 will think it's plugged into a regular old computer. If in doubt, check the reviews, or you can look if your phone thinks it's plugged into "AC" or "USB" when charging (check the battery screen in settings while charging).

Thanks for the explanation! That will save me some $$$, since I already have a ton of those chargers in every car.
