Help Car Bluetooth Mic sounds terrible

HI, I am using the Note 2 in my 2010 Toyota Rav4. I have connected to my car Bluetooth to make and receive calls. I can hear everyone perfectly fine. The issue is when I try to talk to people, they complain that I sound muffled, in a tunnel or just too much static. While on the same call, I unchecked Headset and use the phone directly. They hear me perfectly. I have been into Toyota and they can't find anything wrong. I've also tried my wife's car (2013 Infinity) and the quality of the mic is the same as mine. If I hook her phone up to both cars, it also sounds fine (mic wise). I have also tried a Plantronic's 320 Bluetooth earpiece and that also sounds fine. Is there different frequencies or something that the car audio Bluetooth devices have from the ear pieces?

I was running JB and it was doing it with that version. I am now on Kit Kat 4.4.2 and did a clean out of the box "Factory Reset" and it still sounds terrible. I have also deleted my Paired Phone from my car and Phone.

Anyone have any ideas? Besides just using an earpiece or speaker phone...(Had to add that just in case I got a wise guy).....lol

Sounds to me like your mic in the car is bad, but you say that your wife's phone sounds fine....
Anyway, try to hit Toyota up for a replacement mic. If Toyota won't replace the mic, try to relocate it somewhere closer to your voice. Do you know where the mic in the car is located?

That's what I thought too, but I tried it in my wife's car and it sounded the same. The mic in my car is in the ceiling, in-between my sun room and courtesy lights. Right above my head practically.

Thanks for you help though...
