Accessories Car charger and usb cable ???

There are some really cheap micro usb cables on ebay and I think they'll work with the x. I tried my wife's charger (usb cable w/ wall plug in) and it worked fine (not Motorola).

Anyone know more than I do (which isn't much) concerning cables/charging please tune in. My thinking is that I can get a car charger adaptor that has the standard usb plug in and just use the micro usb cable to charge in the house and car.

Is there supposed to be some kind of a smart chip in them?

nothing special. In fact walmart sells a usb based car/home charging setup for about $15. It is back in the electronics section with the other car chargers. I think it is a micro 5 pin usb cord btw. I would go ahead and get the whole shebang, cause it is gonna get annoying to have to carry the cable around with you all the time. one for the house and one for the car.

I have a charger for the samsung omnia. Any reason not to use it for the Droid X? Are there voltage issues?

no, they all kick out the same voltage
