Car holder

Hey guys. I'm looking for a carholder for my Hero that will plug into my car's lighter socket. Unfortunately windshield suction holders are not allowed in Minnesota.

Does anyone know where to find one or maybe post a link to one?

Thanks in advance.

Oh I should've mentioned I want one that charges at the same time. My brother found one for his iPhone on ebay.

Hmm... now that you bring this... Can you guys post if it is legal to use a windshield mount in your state?

I'm from PR. But I flight regularly to CT and sometimes drive to NY... I recently got the windshield mount from Sprint since I want to use it on my next trip...

Only two states it's not legal in are Minnesota and California. Nothing on the windshield, or dangling on your rear view mirror.

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS PLEEEEASE?

I've had my GPS on my windshield for years. I've been pulled over twice, and they never said anything...???

I dont think you can have anything obstructing your view in any state. I've been pulled over in NJ, PA and NY. But I will say this... having stuff hanging from the rear view mirror or on the windsheild has saved me more than a couple of times. There have been times that I've been pulled over for speeding and instead of a speeding ticket I've gotten a warning and a ticket for obstructed view. MUCH cheaper fine, no points and no insurance increase :D

Worth every penny, they are purpose made to fit the car and the phone

I agree, looks like a great cradle, I'll be getting one as soon as I get some extra cash.

I cringed at the cost too but after looking at the "universal" options and decided it was worth the money and have never looked back

Having a charger I can hardwire is nice too, if I plug anything into my adapter it blocks one of my cupholders (super design Ford)

ummm... yeah.. I live in the south... no way am I going to block one of my A/C vents.. and since they only offer one mount option for my car... I'll pass

I found the perfect holder!!! Guess which? THIS ONE!!! Yup, it's the one I had in a previous post. My brother bought it, tried it on his, his gear shift was in it's way, told me he didn't want it. Two seconds later, he saw a USB port on the bottom, and was like "it'll probably work on yours!" I'm like no my phone doesn't have the same USB iPhone does, so he tells me about the port, and I sped off to my room to get my REALLY short USB connector that I had from my old mp3 player. It sits perfect in my car. It's exactly what I needed, and it only costs $14. It's exactly like the one shown in the link above. Here are a couple of pics:

Let me know if you have any questions!

Ok so I said it's exactly like the one I posted in the link, but it's not. The cigarette lighter adapter is not that long. It extends enough just to connect it. Unless you can unscrew it and make longer (didn't try that) but I doubt that it does that.
