What are you using for your car cradles for the Droid Charge? Most of the ones out there cover up the charging slot. I want to be able to use GPS and have it connected to recharge at the same time. I'd prefer an airvent model but none seem to leave that slot uncovered.
 
I use this one. Amazon.com: Samsung Car Mount Kit for Samsung Droid Charge: Cell Phones & Accessories
You can see on the bottom of the cradle there's a square block. That actually slides up and down. So you plug your charger into the bottom of that block and it stays connected there. You can also see that there's a small silver plug on top of it. That's perfectly aligned with the power jack on your phone. You slide that block down and clip your phone in. Slide it back up and it plugs a charging jack into your phone. It's pretty nice.

It has fully adjustable sides so the charger cable fits perfectly in the charger port. Also allows for easy power on and off access. on the other side of the Charge.

It's perfect for the Charge and the price is right.

This one does work great. However it has one pretty big flaw. If you hook up your audio cable to the cradles audio out port you do not get audio through your car speakers whenever you are on the phone. It goes to the speaker on the phone itself which is not very good while in phone mode. Every other type of audio(Slacker, navigator, etc.) does work nicely.

Mine plays audio through the speakers, music and phone calls work just fine, but it sounds bad on speaker phone, I wish there was an option to switch phone calls to my bluetooth when i got a call but play music through the aux.

So your phone calls go play through your car speakers while using the OEM car dock audio out port? If so i really would like to know what setting you use to do this. As I stated mine will play everything BUT phone calls through the car speakers. It then routes the sound to the phones speaker.
