Car Mounts

What are the car mounts that Motorola Droid (1)'s are using? I was using a windshield mount for previous phones and it fell off the windshield this morning and broke - now I need to order one for the droid. I have Seido Case on it which might make a difference in what mount I purchase. I don't really want to have to remove it everytime I drive.

The Droid and Droid 2 car mounts are interchangeable, but I believe the D2 dock has a removable insert that lets you use a case without removing it from your phone, and the D1 dock lacks it. You can get both on Amazon for way cheaper than from Verizon or Motorola.

I'm not certain, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Droid 2 docks were designed to work with only the Motorola case. If you have and like the Sedio case, I would look into a Sedio car dock.

It definitely does make a difference. Either you have to find a generic adjustable mount (no fixed mount can accommodate every single case out there) or find a mount designed specifically to work with your case. Seidio sells such a solution.
