Help Carrier Disables GPS, help!

Hey all, need some help here. My carrier(sasktel) disables gps on there phones. I just bought a brand new HTC Incredible S yesterday and wondering if there is a way i can turn it back on.

Are you sure? Why would they do that? It makes no sense at all. How are you supposed to use Google Maps etc.?

What happens when you try to turn the GPS on from the Quick Settings menu (pull down the notification bar and select Quick Settings)?

May be ur carrier disables the cell tower location data.
But Incredible S can be used as a standalone GPS unit..
Try turning ON GPS in quick settings and open google maps to check ur location..
