Hi! I'm k0nane and I removed CIQ before it was cool, on the Epic 4G. I'm here because ... I have no idea really. I found something in this forum.
Anyway, CIQ is incredibly old news, and never affected international users. It only affected American Android users. The I9100 and its predecessor I9000 never had any variant of CIQ.
TrevE's app is designed for HTC and can produce unpleasant results on Samsung devices. If you want (though I have no idea why you would) to check for CIQ on your device, get the Voodoo Carrier IQ detector from the Market. I was around in IRC while Supercurio was actively developing it.
