Root Carrier Unlock?

Does anyone know how to carrier unlock this phone for another provider, I recently moved from FL to NC and I have absolutely no data or reception I'd prefer just take my phone to another provider rather than buy a new one all together.

They only catch that if you slip up, I never had an issue when I done that with my HTC Evo 4G to MetroPCS. Just don't have both phones on at once, that'd be an issue lol.
 
ok so the reason why is that metro is a cdma carrier (using sprint's network) while the Avid 4G is a gsm phone. you can't mix technologies like that. plus with gsm, there is a new law that passed in jan(i think) that makes it illegal to unlock the phone without the carriers approval. while with cdma is is not illegal provided that you own both devices and both have a clean esn.
 
Hello and welcome to the forums . I am understanding you correctly you want to unlock the device to Sprint,Verizon or straight. This cant be done cause unlocking can only be done with the carrier permission. But explain what u want or trying to do on the device .
