Accessories Case Designed for a backless Dinc?

Taylored

Android Enthusiast
I know this is a long shot, but have any of you come across a case designed for the Dinc w/o the back plate attached? It would shave a mm or so off the overall thickness thus retaining the slim feel of the phone.

Thanks.

Get one of these:

From here:
HTC DROID Incredible Shield Protector Cases

and go to town with an exacto knife/cutting tool.

Then patent the idea, mass produce them and make millions! :) I'd buy one (if the price is right).

I actually thought when I first looked at that case that it was back-less, then realized it was actually a clear back.

Are you looking for a case without a back, or a case to fit a Dinc without the battery cover installed?

A case w/o a battery cover installed.

So you just wanna rock your phone with out a back plate completely in a case?

Someone did this with a Gel or Silicon case and a 2150 Battery . Before the battery back was released for the Incredible.

Maybe a clear silicon case ? (I'm guessing you want to see the insides of the phone)

I don't think it's a great idea because even in a case you're leaving your phone pretty unprotective to it's most vulnerable spots,

kinda like playing catcher without a jock strap but no cup or maybe it's the other way around lol

In that case, nobody has made a closer-fitting case to use like that with the stock battery, although something was reportedly improvised with a silicone case and the extended battery.

How about a case that replaced the back cover.. essentially melding the cover and case into one.. that'd be nice!

This is precisely what I am looking for. I want my phone a bit more rugged, I am not interested in doubling the size of the phone. Even my innocase adds to much bulk, imo.
