Case for 7+

Thanks everyone for the great case options - there certainly are a lot more than for my previous tablet the Toshiba Thrive 7! I'm going to look at them all.

If anyone is looking for something a little different and more geared towards e-reading, I found one from LightWedge eReader & Tables Accessories, Reading Lights, Magnifiers called the Verso Prologue in Antique Red. In fact it was actually available at FutureShop in Canada.

No holes for camera etc. but I like the look of it - it looks like I'm still reading an old hardcover book when I'm using my Galaxy Tab, good for old geezers like me.

When i ordered it said (and still does on my amazon order summary) that the estimated arrival date is Feb.14-March 2. I think that's just to cover their bases over delays in customs.

It has a good feel, doesn't feel cheap, good solid magnet clasp. The elastic seems to be good quality, Ive taken the tab in and out several times just to see if it looks like the elastic would snap and i get the impression that it will last. The elastic is pretty solidly sewn on.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. One caveat, it had a pretty bad plasticy smell when i first opened the box, but that goes away in about the first hour of use.

Yeah, the 1st pic on amazon is indeed wrong, as I suspected.

Overall, I think this is a nice slim case that is priced really well.

I ordered this case along with 3 clear screen protectors for around $25. The case was regularly $34 and was $12.99 on sale. Saved another $5 for springing for the protectors. It can't suck too bad at this price. I'll report back.

After reviewing this thread, I realize that the case I'm getting is a faux carbon fiber version the purple one posted earlier.
 
It is an off brand from amazon. I will post some pics. It fits very well. No issues with fitment but it is a lint magnet.

the other day I was checking to see if the Samsung made case for the 7+ was available. I did find it on amazon and purchased it, and i received the shipping notice the next day. however they are out of them now.... I think they are still available at the Samsung site below.

I noticed my Kindle 3 is the same size as the 7+. So I am currently using the M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket to carry the 7+ in. It works quite well.
