Case-Mate Pop! Case

one problem with Pop! case is power button is really hard to push in...like really hard. You get used to it when you have to push it in 100x a day on this phone but you will notice how hard it is.

Other than that the case is great. I like the size of the phone now. It used to slip out of my hand and i almost dropped my phone 100x. Got the Pop! case and havent had that. Phone feel great and case as perfect.

Why is it so hard to push the power button? Is the case a hard material covering the button? Thanks for the input. Also, due to battery issues, I will be getting an extra battery and an external charger, which means needing to take the case off twice a day. Another poster said it was very hard to take it off. Are you finding the same? Can you use leverage by pushing on the kickstand area? Thanks again.

Is the volume rocker functional or is it similar... I can't decide what case to go with, this one definitely has some style.

The volume rocker and power button is still fully functional. The power button is a little bit harder to press, but you get use to it. It is a very sleek-looking, durable case. :)

Can you mention if the case is very hard to remove? I'm going to have to take it off to switch batteries a lot. Have you found a quick way to pop off? Thanks.

When I first installed it, I thought it would be because it's a tight fit. But because of the kickstand cutout, it's actually pretty easy. As another member mentioned in another thread, just hold the bottom of the case and push through from the kickstand side. The phone pops right out.

The case is made up of basically 2 main materials. The harder plastic outside that you see the Black,White, or Pink color.

The 2nd material is much more like a rubber. The side grips you see is that rubber for better grip. In addition to that the power button and volume button is also rubber.

The rubber seems to get slightly easier to push down for the power button over the past few days + I am now used to it. The problem is this is a high quality case so the rubber isn't cheap and flimsy combined with the power button is already somewhat recessed in the phone.

Trust me it isn't a deal breaker but you will notice it the first 1-2 days how hard you have to push in to get the power button. What I recommend is if you're taking the phone out to do a battery pull to power up before putting case back on to make it easier.

2 last things:
1. the case is great. I like everything about it. good quality and good style
2. why are you popping the battery out alot?

Switching battery out when I'm running low on juice. So, it will be a battery change in the AM and one when I get home from work. And thanks to you and 'gal for the advice. I'm gonna go with it. It is a great looking case and it seems to be a perfect combination of sleek and durability...where the Active X might just be durable and not so sleek.

I've also noticed that it does get easier to push the power button. It's hard to describe, but the first day, yesterday, I couldn't feel when the button had actually been pushed. But today I can.

Currently, I'm using the two piece case that is sold at Verizon (kind of a mock active x, if you will) does this Pop case add about as much thickness to the phone...probably hard for you to say if you don't know what case I'm using. So, I guess the better question is, does your case add too much girth or do you feel that it only adds a minimal amount? Thanks again.

1. you dont want a case to pop off easy. the purpose is to protect your phone not pop off easy

2. just push on the kickstand and phone pops out easy. I just did it in less than 1 second.

I can totally see it being a PITA to get off without the cutout.

My first impression was that it did add some bulk to the phone. I came from an Amzer case, which is almost like not having a case at all. But after only using it for a day, I'm used to it already and don't mind it. Having the grips on the sides is really nice, too. At some point, if someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll try and get a picture on my phone in the Case-Mate beside my husband's which is in the Verizon shell from the shell/holster combo.

That pic would be great! Thanks. In a perfect world, I would love to keep my Bolt naked, because it is really slick that way, but I'm so OCD that I won't relax if it isn't protected. My 4 year old loves playing her Princess Ariel Puzzle game and, well, she is capable of dropping it...as I am, I suppose. So, I'm hunting for the perfect case. I've also got the car dock and the phone will need to be case free for that, so I'm happy to hear that this case is capable of coming off easily, but not too easy of course.

I was concerned about the bulk that this case may add, so I got the Seidio Innocase II Surface, which is really nice. However, I may end up getting a Case-Mate too.

For those of you who have this case, does it interfere with typing or working near the edges of the touch screen? (these types of cases always made hitting physical keys on blackberry difficult since my fingeres aren't necessarily small)

Not at all. The case fits right around the very outside of the phone. :)

So,thanks to you and others, I impulse purchased it last night after we were chatting. That Amazon one touch payment thing makes buying too easy. ;)

Thank you again for your input and I can't wait to see those pics you talked about regarding the size compared to your husband's phone with the Verizon case on.
