Accessories Case mate tough case

Looks very similar to the Seidio Active case that I have...

How easy is it to press the power and volume buttons? My biggest complaint with the seidio case is that the power button is notoriously hard to push, so much so that I had to place an insert inside the silicone case to have it register better.

Also, is the Case Mate's outer hard shell completely rubber or just a rubber coating? the seidio's outer case is peeling, since they were cheap and only used a thin rubber film coating.

It's a silicone shell that fits over the back of the phone and then you slide a hard textured rubber outer shell over the silicone...it has great grip when you hold it..the buttons work perfectly...and the thing I luv about it is the inner sillicone gel case protects the edges of the phone fro any rubbing the outershell might cause....I ve tried a lot of cases and this is by far the best...I ve given up on otter box cases....I ve tried them before and truly feel the casemate tough case is one of the best

Nice -- I was considering the Active Case, but after the Innocase chewed up my Evo, I'm done with Seidio products. This looks like it's a good substitute. Did you order directly from Case Mate?

This case is similar to the Seidio Active, I agree. However, this case is definitely better quality. The power button depresses very easily and the volume rocker works fine. Overall this is an exceptional case. My Seidio Innocase Active was a good case, this Case Mate Tough Case is a great case.

Hmm I'm beginning to notice how similar the Seidio Activecase, the Otterbox Commuter, and this case are..

Is the outer hard case coated in rubber? Will it slide in/out of a leather holster easily or will the rubber coating make it hard to remove?

I currently use a leather holster with my case mate tough case, the outer case is slightly rubbery but can still slide out of my holster easily.
