Case Mate Tough Case

I use this and would recommend it. The only down side is that it does maker the phone more bulky and maybe spoils the looks a bit. But on the plus, I've lost count how many times I've dropped my phone and it's still in perfect condition. I've even been walking home and dropped it so I went to cushion the fall with my foot and ended up booting my phone down the road. And not a scratch
 
I have had the case now for a week. The protection is surpurb. It does add a touch of bulk but worth it. It reminds me of the commuter case from Otterbox. This would protect the phone on a accidental drop with no problem. The camera is recessed to avoid damage and the phone can be placed face down and be fully protected.

I also have a barely there case and even though it looked good the corners and top and bottom are virtually unprotected. A drop with that type of case would be a disaster. There are a bunch of the barely there cases on the market and all are the same with the protection.

Better than the Commuter ? That's a matter of opinion. I've used the Otterbox Commuter on other phones and it too is exceptional. However, the Otterbox Commuter is not available NOW. Either case would be a great choice, in fact, for me, these are the only two cases that I would buy. Again, I've used both cases on multiple phones and loved them both equally. Unfortunately, I've used neither on the GS II.

Thanks man. My phone is due to hit here tomorrow so I want to get a case for it. I see you are in the states. Are you using ATT with your phone?
 
I do not have a GS II yet since it has not been released in the USA. I expect an August announcement. I'm hoping for Verizon or T Mobile. Buying my case in preparation.
 
sometimes on my tough case i get a really bad echo, when i take the case of mid call the echo goes . still it doesnt happen enough to bother me that much so im sticking with it till something better comes on the market. i like the look of the official samsung dual skin case

This is the one I bought. Until now I bought 5-6 casses and pockets this one is the cheapest 3-4 euro and It is the best. My phone is cooler (as visually and temperature wise). I do not advertise this item just sharing my opinion that it is the best I have tried so far. It looks really good and the phone is still slick and light. Most cases I tried are too bulky, my phone looks and feels triple.

The cost with delivery was like 3-4 EUR, which is the cheapest item I bought. May be my best purchase ever.
 
I have this case, perfect fit and now this "electric champagne glass" can take a modest drop.

Screen protectors ruin the look of any screen. Keep your keys off the screen and the gorilla glass will do the rest.
