Accessories Case that fits extended battery?

I have the Motorola extended battery (BH6X), and am using the new back cover that comes with it. I have the verizon case / holster combo, which I love. The case fits over the back cover with the ext battery, but it causes a slight 'bubble' on the front screen. What other case will fit this, and still work with the holster?

What other options are there - other cases / holsters?

Not sure if this will work, but if this link takes you to a thread on Droid X Forums, look at pictures I posted in posts 124 and 125 for a comparison of the fit for the Incipio Silicrylic on the Droid X with the extended battery door. It's a slightly different fit, but it will work. I've opted to go without the extended battery door when using the extended battery. Great case!

best buy does sell cases and case/holster combos. they are made by seido, but they are listed as "platinum series". i have used them for a while with the extended battery and cover without problems.

i have also used the commuter from verizon, which fits fine also.

My Otterbox Commuter fits perfectly with an extended battery.

Not sure which Verizon holster you're talking about but if it's the Shell/Holster combo, the case will not fit in that holster. I had previously purchased a Platinum brand (Best Buy house brand made by Seidio...essentially the same as Seidio Innocase Surface) case and holster and the Incipio case fits perfectly in that holster. You can pick one of those up pretty cheap on eBay. I liked the Platinum case for awhile and used it with the extended battery door, but after awhile if you take the case on and off, the plastic clips wear out and the case won't stay closed. IMOH, the Incipio case fits much better and offers a lot more protection and shock absorption.
 
Update: I did buy the Incipio Silicrylic (red/black combo) and bought a Platinum case/holster from Best Buy and I'm a happy camper! The Platinum case fits fine with the extended battery and probably would have worked just fine for my needs as I rarely take the case off. However, I do like the Incipio case much better as B360155 said - it offers more protection. I also was rather tired of just pure black. After I got my X, 4 more people in my family got one, and they all bought the same black case I originally had - so this way I don't have to wonder which is my phone.

The Incipio case does fit well with the extended battery, although there is a slight bowing out of the red portion on the front, but it looks fine and really not noticeable unless you're looking for it. B360155 did a good job of explaining his findings with the extended battery / cases.

I do recommend the Incipio case and if you want a holster, the Platinum works well with it. I actually like that clip better than the holster I got from Verizon, as I don't have to slide the phone all the way up / out before it's free.
 
Thanks for the kind words NCT and I'm glad you approve of the suggested combo. I've learned so much about my DX's capabilities, apps, accessories, etc from others on this and other forums and try to pass on information in return that I think might be helpful to others to get the most enjoyment out of their phone purchase. I really do like the form factor of this Incipio case...I even ordered a black/black one this morning so I can alternate when I feel like it. The Platinum case wasn't bad, but if you do happen to drop it, I can almost guarantee you, the two pieces will pop open, especially when using it with the extended battery. I'm pretty sure that will never happen with the Incipio Silicrylic. Enjoy!

Got this case two days ago. It came quick! Fit and finish is nice, but one thing that is bothering me a lot is that the rubber part is a huge dust and lint collector. So much so that it may be a deal breaker for me. :(

How is the Seidio Innocase? Is it a dust collector? Im thinking not as my wife has one on her Droid Incredible and its fine. My next question is, does it fit the extended battery on the DX?

Trooper, I got the red/black one (the incipio), and it is not a dust collector, even though I've exposed it to more dust than most people probably (remodeling parts of my house.) You might wait a few days as well, as I've heard some people say that after a few days some cases will stop gathering so much lint/dust.

If you just want black/black, Best Buy sells a "Platinum" case, which comes with a nice clip. It is made by Seido from what I understand. It does fit the extended battery without problem, although I wanted a touch of color. I did buy the Platinum case for the clip, which fits the Insidio case perfectly.

I will give it a few days like you said. Since you have the black and red, would you mind posting some actual pics of your incipio case? On their website it looks kind of orange.

I had the Incipio red/black originally and liked it so much I bought a black/black too. I've seen varied posts on the black/black and lint issues. I don't see any problem with it on the black/black case that I got and many others say the same thing. Others say it's a big problem and another group seems to say it's a problem at first, then gradually gets better with time. I don't know if different batches attract lint differently or if it's just the environment it's used in, but I honestly don't have any lint issues with either Incipio case I have at all.

There are some pictures I took of the red/black in post #5 above. In my opinion, it is somewhere between red and orange, kind of tangerine or something...but I like it. The Platinum case will fit the extended battery at first, but over time, in my experience with it, the clips wear out and the case starts popping open on one side if you're putting on and removing your case at all. When I use an extended battery in my phone with the Incipio case, I use it without the extended battery door and it works just fine.

Im still waiting to see. I guess I could always call them and ask for a replacement or maybe try the red and black combo. I tried to look at your pics but Im not a member of those forums therefore I can't see em. Would you mind posting them here?
