Cases for the RAZR MAXX

Yea, just wish Otterbox would consider some color for us. It seems any case they have only comes in black unless you own a iPhone. :(

I was looking at the Seidio Active too which has colors available but I am not sure how thick the kickstand case would make the phone.

I saw a Razr Maxx in an otterbox defender case today for the first time. I have to say, it turns a sleek stylish phone like the Razr into a butt ugly brick. bleh.

I have the Seidio Active and really like it. Even with the kickstand its not that thick. It has to be one of the most thinnest cases with two forms of protection.

If you are rough on your phones and or have kids and you really like your phone then the sacrifice of thinness and asthetics will be worth it in the long run.

Hi. Does anyone know of a case that will have a button on the back already so i can slide it into my pro fit international windshield car mount? When i had my optimus v, i bought a body glove case that had a button on the back.

I know the otterbox defender case is supposed to make the razr maxx feel very bulky, but is that with or without the belt holster thing. I have small hands but i need something really strong. Also does the belt holster with the otterbox defender have the little button on the back?

My first case I bought was a silicon case, I think it would have worked when I dropped my phone however when it hit the ground it fell on the corner of my phone and cracked the screen, I now have a Otterbox, if you don't mind adding a little bulk to your phone it works great.

Amazon.com: razr

Wow, I am incredibly pissed with how crappy the Seidio "Surface" case is. Quality doesn't come anywhere close to their case I had for my Eris. For every family member who gets a new phone, I tell them to buy a seidio case. Not recommending them anymore. Absolutely not worth the $30. I've had better $2 swap meet cases. Wondering if amazon sent me a knockoff. The "soft touch" (should feel like felt) material is sticky, ordinary plastic.

I'm sorry to hear that! We have worked to maintain and improve our quality standards. Our cases still have a soft-touch coating, so it shouldn't feel like sticky, ordinary plastic. Feel free to DM more information about where you purchased it from.

You can also e-mail a picture to forum@seidio.com and we can check to see if it is knockoff. Either way, it may be best to return or get a replacement from Amazon.

You have the right attitude about Seidio Winne; I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Once they have your money it's all lip service and empty posts on forums.

TERRIBLE and extremely unprofessional customer service. Test it for yourself...what did they do for you when you sent them a picture? Nothing right?

I wouldn't use a Seidio product even if it was free.

Otterbox commuter all the way for you !

I've had my Commuter on for about a week and a half and I love it. It's perfectly sized now, and perfectly protected. IMO, there is NO better case for the Razr Maxx than the Otterbox Commuter. Bonus: I found it on Amazon for $21 shipped with no tax. Can't beat that. :)

Out of these three I hve read about on this forum, which do you guys/gals recommend the most:

cruzer light
diztronic
hyperion

I didn't read the entire theread but if there are any others that may have been mentioned in the earlier pages let me know

Black Armadillo case for $3.99 - under $10 shipped.
Amazon.com: Black Armadillo Kickstand Double Layer Hard Case Gel Cover for Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx XT913: Cell Phones & Accessories

It's two layers: soft on the outside and hard on the inside. It has that black tire tread look, which I like. The outer layer has buttons for power and volume that make them much easier to use. Doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone, despite the kickstand.

The outer layer was slippery at first, but that wears off in a few days. It's still not nice and tacky like my old silicone case, but it feels very secure in my open hand now.

I was thinking about the comparable Seidio, but their kickstand has a magnetic catch, which I don't want near my wallet, and their hard layer is on the outside, which I worried would be more slippery.

+1 for The Diztronic cases from amazon.

Smoke Clear with a matte back.

minimal with some protection for the front and back.

We should all bombard the Lifeproof case Facebook page, I think the Maxx would be an awesome ce for their first Android case and It's the only phone out right now with the staying power to make out worth their while. Their waterproof case for the icrap is a thing of beauty. Slim profile, completely waterproof (submersible to depth) and all with less bulk than the otter box commuter....Otter has chimed out with their Armor line to compete but alas out going to be bulkier than their defender stores and ONLY FOR ICRAP at the moment !

That case looks like it makes the maxx GINORMOUS!!!

...I'm going to try one of these $.01 cases ($2.99 shipped) and see what that's like:
Amazon.com: Black Soft Silicone Rubber Skin Case For MOTOROLA Droid RAZR MAXX XT916: BlueMall

It just arrived - it's a Case Ology case. Perfect. Soft but not squishy. Not slippery and the matte finish feels nice in the hand. Button covers for power and volume make them easy to use. And much as I like the ginormous case with the kickstand, it really is a shame to put a skinny phone in a fat case. This one is just perfect, and $2.99.

I bought a white one like yours to have around when my kids play with my maxx. It works and feels good.

I tried both the Commuter and the Diztronic TPU cases. I love the look of both cases but they were both just too damn slippery in my hand.

I ended up going back to my regular old high gloss silicone case from Verizon (or ebay for $9). Not much to look at, but the thing has just the right touch of "stickiness" to make for a very comfortable and secure grip.
