Cases

I modified my TPU case with a sharp pair of small Fiskar scissors and a Dremel to make it fit my car dock. You have to increase the size of the cut out where the ports are to accommodate the hump on the dock with the plug. It's not as pretty as it used to be, but it works great now. I also cut out the covers over the volume and camera button, as I discovered I could not really locate them quickly via touch.

I want to preface this by saying I am a female with tiny hands (size 4 ring for example), so I really was not looking to add any bulk to the phone. As it is the phone is right on the edge of being too big.

I looked around a bunch and decided on a super girly black patent universal case from Coach. I know I cannot be the only girl who prefers a pouch type case. This is particularly nice as it has a few slots fo credit cards making it the perfect lightweight wristlet for quick errands.

Just tossing it out for those looking for a pouch type with style. It literally is the perfect size for this phone.

Both DH and I do not use any other type of case. In fact he just removed his after liking how mine felt without a case. He still uses a screen protector though on his evo 4g

Ash:

Is the TPU case described soft like a gel case? I ask because a prime reason I use a case is to keep the phone from sliding around, like in my car cubby holes and other places..........

Hey 30

It's not as rubbery as i made it sound. Meaning when i put it on a hard surface,it will slide around. It does provide a good grip when held in your hand tho. Hope this helps.

I'm actually looking for one that is like the "barely there" cases at case-mate. I had one for my Evo and EVO 3d and loved them because they were thin, snapped on very easily and weren't bulky. Case-mate doesn't make any cases for this phone yet. Has anybody found one similar to that case?

I actually took my Otterbox Defender off. 2 Reasons. 1st - My Mopho Car Dock would not allow for the fit of the Defender. 2nd - Like my EVO, the Photon just looks and feels right Naked. Dropped it twice from left front pocket length and Happy to Report NOT even a Scratch. This phone is built like a tank. I am VERY IMPRESSED.

No more cases for me. Just a waste of $, especially with most phones using Gorilla Glass now. I just like the look and feel of the Photon naked. The EVO should have taught me this lesson.

The thing that still Impresses me the MOST is the Battery life. I Have an extra battery and I have still Not even pulled it out. I have been to Disneyland 8:00 a.m. To 9:00p.m. With plenty of Battery Left. (Texts, E-Mails, Phone Calls, 4G). Motorola did a FANTASTIC/AMAZING job with battery management. Going to Vegas in a couple weeks to really push the limits of the battery.

I agree with everyone on the TPU case, I got the pink argyle one and couldn't be happier, unlike you guys though I have somehow manage to put a little tiny dent in my screen, not sure when it happened but I have dropped it a couple times, so I have the case and the screen protector since I'm extra clumsy apparently :)

... after I saw it on my friend's phone.

Amazon.com: Black Rubberized Hard Plastic Case for Motorola Photon 4G MB855: Cell Phones & Accessories

Surprisingly, it's a pretty decent case. Snug fit with no gaps whatsoever. For the price, I ordered two just in case one dies.

I actually bought this case a few weeks ago, it was only $0.01 at the time!

But today when I went to take it off so I could pull the battery, one of the clasps in the corner broke and now the case won't stay shut. So I'll say that it works very well as long as you intend to keep it on... Taking it on / off is not good for it.

But you can't argue with the price!
