Our rescue cat Rosie has just worked out a distraction technique - she came in through the cat flap and yowled like she'd caught a mouse. then she dropped a large leaf on the floor and waited till I'd seen it before going out and walking down the path with a dead mouse in her mouth. But she couldn't resist coming back and showing me the mouse, dropping at my feet as a present.
