Caturday

I'm late to this party, but I'm here now. :)

The 'why cats love boxes' post hit home for me, because my cats LOVE boxes. Especially my baby, Joy Noelle. In fact, I have 'Joy Noelle boxes' all around the house, and the little princess is the only one who's supposed to get in them...but, yeah, anyway.

So before I post some pics I have to give a [typically long-winded MoodyBlues] back story.

The first night I had Joy, I put a little gold box filled with excelsior in the front bathroom, along with food, water, and a little litter box. She got into the gold box immediately and made herself at home, all 1-1/2 pounds of her. I was living in Dallas then (this was in November 2004), and when I sent pics of the new baby to my mom, she LOVED this one specific picture of Joy in her gold box. Somewhere along the line my mom said "You know what Joy's saying in that picture? I'm home!"

After I moved back here [to CA] and lived with my mom, I modified that picture with a word bubble saying "I'm home" and put it on Mom's computer as her wallpaper. She loved looking at it. :D

Last year, after Mom became bedridden, and after she had been told a MILLION times that she needed to do her exercises so her body wouldn't just turn into a useless heap, I modified the pic again, with a message about doing her exercises.

So here's the sequence: Original photo, the "I'm home" version, then the exercise version. NOTE that the third photo is NSFW!

Finally, here's the little princess today, all grown up, in her JN box on the dining room table:

BTW, I adore her. :)

HEY Moodie BLOOS! Good to see you (virtually) !!!!

She got hung up in the middle, not around her neck.
Okay, that's good to know.

The Vulcan was home and rescued her. She apparently stepped through the chain with the front end, and couldn't get the back end through.
That's good, too. :)

Ha! It says: "while owners mistakenly thinking their kitty wants its tummy scratched (top right) when it rolls over could be being clawed for abusing their cat's trust." Not MY cats! Two in particular LOVE having their tummies rubbed, and their absolute sure-fire signal for that is rolling around on their backs until Mommy notices. :D
