Growing up in a house with a multi-pane glass door. The cats that actually lived with us (most cats in the area Hung out at our house) learned to climb the door to open and close it. ... Yes, they did learn the value of closing the door by having the "special" treats we put out for them disappear when THEY left the door open.

We had regular "round" door handles.
