Hey guys it just hit me like 2 minutes ago iv been running android 2.2 since last january.. I seen theres other versions now.. Should i update to one of them

I have a Htc Desire, phone is a little slow and sluggy so i was thinking of just starting fresh..also the internal memory thing is alllways full which is annoying
