Accessories CD Holder Car Mount

I bought one of the gooseneck mounts, but it turned out to be too springy, making the phone bounce around while driving, and therefore difficult to see for GPS or media player use.

Gonna try this CD slot mount next.

Ya looks pretty interesting. I ordered it on Friday so I should be getting it soon. I will post picks and a review hopefully this week.

Well I decided to give it a shot. Only $20 shipped and a full return policy if I wasn't happy with it. Shipping only took 3 days from California to Ohio. Great seller.

So far I couldn't be happier. This was exactly what I was looking for in a car mount. The construction is pretty solid and doesn't budge at all. The mount slips into your car CD player and tightens with a screw on the bottom of the mount (see pictures). Like I said it does not budge or move at all. The back of the mount has a ball socket so it is adjustable to your viewing angle.

Some of the concerns I had going into the purchase...

- I was worried that the CD Holder would activate the CD Tray. At least on my application it did not (2011 Hyundai Sonata). Obviously I can't speak for every car but so far so good.

- The mount did not obstruct the power button, volume or usb power socket.

- Can position in landscape or portrait due to the versatility of the ball socket mount.

- Max opening for phone/gps/mp3 player is 4" so my gps will fit as well if i need it to. Has a push button release just like most universal mounts then just squeeze it to the size of the item

Like I said... This is a quality mount and well worth the 20 bucks.

Let me know if anyone has any concerns or questions regarding the mount or the purchase.

PS I hope the pictures work. Let me know if they dont.

My fiancee has one I bought for Xmas. We used the GPS for our road trip and I'm gonna get one myself.

Have a Mazda 3 so it did interfere if the tightening dial was facing down. The volume button would be pushed inward, which turns on/off the radio. Turning it upside down remedies the problem.

I bought this also and it is great. Very convenient. Screws very quickly and firmly into CD holder. Still have full access to radio controls. Perfect.

I purchased a different easy to install CD slot mount before Christmas it has no moving parts and it very disability friendly.

Although in no way would I condone anyone operating a sat nav while driving discretion is the better part of valor. This was the best option for me getting the sucker off the windscreen my wife in the passenger seat can now discretely programme the sat nav within UK Law.

Works great and is one of those things you say why did no one think of this before.

I hope this helps someone keep safe within the Law

skd02, you da man! Thanks for those very helpful photos and descriptions because it was exactly the info I was looking for. I went ahead and bought this car mount and am very, very pleased with it. Simple, solid and effective design that holds the phone rigidly in place. I was happy with their sales service as they also delivered this very quick. You just can't go wrong here for $20. Thanks again!
