Root [CDMA] A very noob question

Hi my question is the next. I'm currently running meanrom ics for the evo 3d and I would like to know if I can update to the original ics once Sprint releases the update, if they ever do. it may sound a bit dumb but I couldn't find an answer :( thank you :)
 
Yes, but if you update via OTA you will most likely loose root, there are ICS Roms out there already that you can currently flash, but if you choose to wait, usually within hours or a day they will have the official release that you will be able to flash with no issues.

Considering the rather insane rate in which Mikey updates MeanROM, I'd say no more than a day or two for MeanROM ICS to be based off of the official Sprint version.
