Root [CDMA] boot into custom recovery

i know this is a dumb question but how do i boot my phone into custom recovery??? is it hold vol down and up and the same time??

power button and home button then at ! volume up/down on the gnexus
power button volume/down they all are about the same you should
figure it out shortly i believe

Or, if your rooted, download an app called Quick Boot from the market, that will make it easier for you to get into recovery, you won't forget.

Also, if you're loading up the CMD window anyways because you might be a HBOOT 1.5 user, typing the command:

adb reboot recovery

will also get you into recovery provided USB debugging is on.

never mind i figured it out, but i brikced my phone and i made a backup of the recovery but how do i install it??
