Okay, so I rooted my 3D using the HTC method. I unlocked bootloader and then tried to use Flash Image GUI to flash a new ROM. That, however, failed. To be specific, the app said it did not have superuser permissions. I then used fastboot to install superuser and I tried again. Still, no luck. I became worried that I had unlocked the bootloader without gaining root, but I pressed on.
I found a version of CWM that was flashable via fastboot (an article said it worked with the author's HBOOT 1.5, I believe it was PC Mag but I'm not positive), so I downloaded that CWM and flashed it. Lo and behold, CWM worked. So, I tried to install MIUI via CWM. That failed and I could get no farther than the basic boot screen. Then, I remembered I didn't have a AOSP kernel on there. I flashed tiamat on there and tried again, but no luck. Also, I DID do the factory reset and clear dalvik every time I flashed a ROM. Sensing failure, I tried flashing a stock ROM back on via CWM (but I had to flash the boot image through fastboot, as per instructions during ROM installation). I also flashed a stock kernel to go with the ROM. Still, I never got past the boot screen.
Exasperated, I downloaded the RUU that is supposed to make my phone return to full stock and fix everything and flashed it via FASTBOOT, not CWM. It was a massive 400 MB file and fastboot said it succeeded. Still, no change. I cannot get past the boot image.
At this point, I had to go to school this morning. My mom took the phone to the Sprint store with specific instructions to have them completely reimage the phone, pure stock Evo 3D. However, they said I had deleted the necessary software and would have to pay $100 dollars to have the phone replaced via TEP.
When I rooted my first E3D, it was with revolutionary, and was crazy simple. This is overly difficult and now I just want to be able to use my phone again, HELP!

My phone is once again usable and I will be returning to MIUI tonight (though not after trying a few new ROMS)
