Root [CDMA] Can I restore a backup created with Clockwork using TWRP?

I created a backup using clockwork, then went to TWRP. Can I use TWRP to restore my clockwork backups?

Nope.

You'd have to reflash clockwork and restore the nandroid then flash twrp and then do another nandroid in twrp to get a useable copy of the rom you want for twrp.

Well that sucks donkey balls... Is there any other good way to get back to my stock ROM when I want to?

Also is there a preference of what recovery I should go with Clockwork or TWRP?

If you're going to root and flash one rom and then be done clockwork is fine. If you plan to flash regularly I'd suggest running twrp. It works better and has more options than cwm.
