Root [CDMA] Can the HTC Evo 3D 4G for Sprint run on Virgin Mobile?

Iv contacted someone on craigslist selling an HTC Evo 3D 4G for sprint.. however i have virgin mobile. Can that phone be unlocked to run normally on virgin mobile?

I DO NOT PLAN ON DOING IT IF IT ILLEGAL....HOWEVER....i am still interested in knowing the process ffor EDUCATIONAL REASONS.......(cough cough)

i have SOME experiance with this stuff. not much. iv had a motorola triumph for a while. i know the basics..rooting....clockwork mod....installing roms. blah blah. you know.

the Evo 3D is already rooted and S-off
.It's deactivated now with a clean ESN

I have no experience in this but I've heard cases of some flashing sprint over to boost and vm so I don't see why not
