Root [CDMA] corrupt .mp4 files causing SD card unexpectedly removed error?

So something is corrupting my .mp4 files and causing the "SD card unexpectedly removed" error. The phone is rooted with cleanrom 2.9.5 and I want to back up the SD card and flush it before I install 4.0. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Only thing that I can think of would be to mount the sd card directly on a PC using one of those USB-SDcard adapters - they're not expensive and very handy.

Then do a low-level format and zero out the storage using this tool to make sure you've gotten rid of all of the bad bits -

It will take a while, but that tends to save a lot of cards.
