Root [CDMA] Dumb ass question

tried in win and linux.. fastboot doesnt see it.. or adb.. where am i goin wrong?

Make sure the device is in bootloader mode. Do this by holding volume up + power while the device is off. When you release them it will enter bootloader. From there you can use fastboot commands.

read lots.. adb is showing offline.. debugging and all that is on.. adb drivers was part of it.. didnt read the right guide.. all the rest is fine.. i guess lol..

edit: answered my own question.. was sending an rsa key.. have to click the button..

while its off hold down vol - and power for about 3 seconds, it'll turn on into fastboot

then

sudo fastboot oem get_unlock_data

Had to

Thanks.. Got it all sorted out.. For the life of me it did not want to send the code to my gmail account.. Changed it to a diff one and got it. Bout to start flashing :)

Cool.. Will check that out next.. Did your PA build first, nice.. Had to check out cm11 so thats what its on now.. So is there a way to get to the cwm backups through windows? or even linux? been so long since i had a flashable phone i'm a lil slow with it.. need to delete some cause as soon as I got cwm, made a backup.. then for each flash out of habit.. running out of space.. clockworkmod directory only has a few files.. not the backups..

Just plug the phone into your computer, there will be a clockworkmod or (cwm) folder, your backup will be in there. Copy and Paste.

That CM11 I built, is quite possibly the most stable ROM I have ever built. The AOSPA builds will always be my favorite work I do, but basically all the guys I have doing my testing for me after the builds come out, have gotten over there "stock will always be my back up" and that ROM has become it.
