Root [CDMA] EVO 3D Black Screen **LOOK***

Man....i flashed like 5 different ROMs last night. All worked. Today....tried to put the MeanROM ICS on it......wont boot up...stays at the HTC screen. Tried 5 times. Did everything right cause i flashed the others right.

So i said f*** it. Tried to put it back to the ROM i had...Nocturnal Blackend....won't boot anymore. I wiped everything,,,,,factory reset just like i did last night when i installed 5 different ROMs. Right now.....i can see the time....and the battery...everything else below is black. What would this mean?

I have HBOOT 1.50 in case it helps. But whats weird is...it was doing fine til i tried the ICS ROM.

By the way..i have S-On.
 
did you do a full wipe? wipe cache, dalvik cache, and factory reset? i am running meanrom ICS v2.4 with not one issue yet

Yea...i did everything like i was doing last night. I flashed 5 diff ROMs yesterday. But when i tried to flash the MeanROM....it worked...version 4.5...BUT the wifi had a error. So i did what i did last night....flashed the correct kernel for it. After that..nothing. Right now...i can see the top bar only..the time.....the Location sysbol...battery. Everything below is black. I saw the Screen wallpaper come on for 2 seconds,.....then black. What would this mean?
 
i think there is something with the kernals.. and 1.5 hboot.. not certain.. i havent used mean4.5 yet.. mean 2.4 has all working everything.. and no kernals needed..
 
I think so to. But i meran..now that i wipe everything....an put the ROM i had before i tried this....even that wont work. I even tried to install it from my bacpup Nan. Then i tried to install it fresh....nothing. The phone already had HBOOT on it when i got it. So im not good at redownloading it and stuff. But i did flash 5 or 6 diff ROMs yesterday.....worked. What would i need to do u think to just put my Nocturnal Blackend back on it?


[Edit] Just tried it again..tried to put MeanROM back on it...it loads past that HTC screen....then goes black. Now i can see the time...battery bar right now...thats it. black below. What would this mean????

if it was me, i would do a complete wipe everything. reflash your rom you want, and it should work. like the page says.. stay patient. once it loads and reboots, give it 10-15 mins.. if it still on a black screen, or a boot loop, pull the battery, put it back in, and power back up.. when i did my first one.. thats what i had to do.

but since you flashed all these different roms.. i think you need to do a full wipe..

what recovery do you have? mine is teamwin i think..
 
Mine is team win to. An yea. I just clicked the power but....i can see the wallpaper flicker for 1 second....then off. Back to black screen. But that clock and battery the whole top bar is there. That would mean the MeanROM is on there then wouldnt it? Why is it not coming in? I think kernel...but....how can i add a kernel from here?

I did a wipe EVERYTHING. Just like yesterday....nothing. Weird. Let me try to go into recovery and add Chads Kernal on top.
 
Its doing it again now. The lock screen would come on for a few seconds then go black. The top bar stays there. Man.....i need to figure this out. I bet its a small step to.
 
hmm.. i dont know.. i asked over on XDA forums.. see what they say.. if i get an answer.. i let you know..

im thinking the kernal is the issue.. unless you flashed a GSM version of the rom..
 
Funny....the 1st time i flashed it few hours again. It worked. MeanROM was flashed. But the wifi had the error like it did last night with my Blackend ROM. So i used the Flash Image GUI like i did last night...to pull the kernel from the rom. It worked last night. But didnt work today when i put it in the MeanROM. NOW nothing will install period.

Thanks alot. Weird thing is...my nandroid backup wont install either now. Something isnt right. My gut is saying its a small over looked issue. Mannnn.....
 
I joined years ago. I got about 400 or so posts there. But they trip when people ask simple questions or if i mistakenly ask something thats already been asked. Im looking on there tho. Offline.
 
I caught something. When i got into recovery...the 1st screen where it shows the options...above it...it said "No image or wrong image" right before it loads the recovery options. That was to the PG86img thing. Would that be the problem u guys think?

Man...NOTHING is loading now.

Dowload a 2.17 exe. Run it with your phone on (even tho it has blackscreen) it should completely restore all settings from stock. Or you can download the 2.17 ruu and rename it pg86img.zip put on your SD card and put your phone in to bootloader and install it that way.

Try 1 of those steps and let me know
