Root [CDMA] Evo 3d help

Hi i have an evo 3d flashed to boost. Im wondering is something wrong with my phone. sometimes i have very little service or none at all. first i was told could be a bad antenna. then i switched it to ap mode and switched back and it worked great. now sometimes i get an error message 63 when i send a txt or i get a message that my call can not be validated when i try to call someone. i have a warrenty from the flasher company and im wondering is it the phone or what. my speed is very slow at times but i do know sprint is upgrading their towers so that could be a reason.

also since its flashed can i update my prl or firmware? when i try i get a error message that says i have no mobile net access or something like that? any help please and thanks
 
I would suggest to get the proper help I would open your own thread, then it will be much easier to resolve your issue, versus having 2 issues in one thread. Once you have a thread open I am sure someone will help you, make sure you post all your info first ;)

i thought the same thing, but being anew member it wont let me open a new one :(. didnt mean to hijack the other guys thread. how long till i can open my own

Typically, people post an intro thread in the introductions section, and then you can create a new thread in other areas.

However, I've de-hijacked the other thread and moved it to here and deleted the redundant post. It's no big deal, you didn't do anything wrong, I just wanted to clean up the place.

ill do that, and thanks for the advice. any certain things i should or shouldnt do with a flashed phone. also is rooting an option now or is it to late, i really dont know much about this kind of stuff. new to it but interested. what the benifits of rooting
 
I'm also on boost mobile with my EVO 3d and to answer you're question about your signal... I'm pretty sure it has to do with the Rom you're running now. Check in about phone and report back. You can find this info by going to settings then about phone click on software info. Tell us what your running (software number) click on more and tell us what kernel, what sense your running I.e. 2.2 or greater. You may have too install a new Rom like I did which took care of the issues you are having. I highly recommend you do some reading before you start to flash roms, flash kernels flash themes etc. I also recommend you upgrade your recovery system from what you may have now which could be twrp recovery or another. You can get 4EXT recovery off the market for only 3 dollars its well worth it especially if you are 1.5 hboot with S (on) I hope I was helpful I know there's alot to take in being new but you will learn.
 
thx for the help. they tried a remote flash and it didnt work. sent the evo back and the coding was bad so its been redone and i will have it tomorrow. ill post back if its doing good. ill be glad to have my evo back. i have a blackberry bold9330 for work and i loath that phone so much. rim is not my thing when your used to android. i do know im did have 2.3.4 ginger and 3.0 sense on my phone.
