I have an Evo 3D from Sprint that I no longer use. I have been toying with the idea of turning it into a small android tablet for our 6 year old. Is there a ROM or image out there that I can use to root the phone to make it a tablet only, removing the phone functions and Sprint apps?

Not that I am aware of, as I believe it is still to early for a dev to want to create one at this time, but you can root it and flash a custom Rom that have more features and allows you to do more with the phone, and during the process you can remove stuff not wanted or needed, and disable and turn off the data and other features. I know the EVO did have one out there at one time, but I have not seen one for the 3VO as of yet, I am sure someone else might chime in.
