Root [CDMA] Evo 3d or Evo V working with Boost Mobile WiMax?

So I'm thinking of getting the Evo 3D/V. I was going to switch to Virgin Mobile, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this with Boost, since they have shrinking payments. Since Boost and Virgin both upgraded to WiMax, I was wondering if flashing would make a difference. Obviously, the Evo V for Virgin works with WiMax. But, if I get a Virgin Evo V, or a Sprint Evo 3D, and then flash it to Boost, would this still let me use the phone with Boost WiMax? Or would I need to buy the Evo V and switch to Virgin to be able to use it? I was thinking of getting the Galaxy S II and flashing to Boost, but I heard that the 4g/WiMax will not work, and so that is what is holding me back with that particular phone. I'm wondering if the same goes with the 3D.

i had the evo 4g flashed to boost and 4g worked for me in the next town over (where 4g is available). i now have the evo 3d but not sure if 4g is working or not as i haven't had a chance to test it yet but i assume it will work with no problems.
 
only one way to find out i'll try it where is the boost flash at I have and unlocked rooted s-off evo v vm
 
I thought in order to have 4g on boost you had to flash using a donor phone which has a 4G MAC address that can be used for your 3D.
It would indeed be awesome if that was not the case though! That's probably the only thing that would make me leave AOSP for Sense roms again.

well my donor phone was a incognito and 4g is working on my end so i guess not
