Root [CDMA] Help with S-Off procedure: Wire Trick

Hey everyone! So pretty much what the title states. I want to do the wire trick on my EVO 3D, but can't seem to figure out or locate the answer as to whether or not I can still do it even after rooting my phone. Also, I read that the stock ROM needed to be loaded before doing this process. I'm currently rooted and running MEANROM...will the trick not work with this ROM? I've read up on the process, and it seems relatively easy. Although, I'm sure it may take me a few times to get the timing spot on.

Please help!

I could be wrong but check the rooting guide at top and flash the shooter Rom if I'm not mistaken that's the stock Rom and try the wire trick
 
Thanks! I followed the rooting guide and saved the stock zip. I kind of figured I was going to have to do this, but was hoping someone who has MEANROM has already did the wire trick without going back to the stock ROM. I'll give this a try when I get home today. Hopefully all goes well!

I've considered downgrading via wire trick but its not worth it to me at least and all guides I've seen you'll need to be on stock before you can proceed
 
Did the wire trick last night...worked perfectly. Took me one try and I was successful. I think everyone could debate reasons why they would and wouldn't do it, but for me it was more about just being able to say I did it. Plus, knowing it is now truly "Rooted" makes me a little happier.

I lucked out when I had a 3vo, had the 1.3 hboot. Revolutionary took care of me.

Now everything is possible from recovery / the bootloader. Enjoy full S-OFF! ;)

So what are you using now, Granite? I think is not either 3vo or OG Evo, right? :D
