I've lurked here for a while soaking up great information, but now I've got a problem and I don't know how to solve it.
Alright I guess I'll jump right in
I've got an HTC EVO 3D that would every now and then get stuck in bootloops, or simply not boot at all. When I would take out the battery for a few seconds and throw it back in everything was all good. Well a few days ago it decided it wasn't going to fix itself so I factory reset it. It worked for a little bit then started the same thing again. I said to myself, it must be the software so I rooted the phone and flashed a ROM. Everything went excellent, I used TWRP for recovery and MeanRom for my first ROM, HTCdev to unlock the phone. I decided I wasn't fond of MeanRom and tried to Flash Miui. That's when the bootloops started again, figured Miui must not be great with my device so I tried a few others, (CleanRom, FreshRom, a couple others) and every single one of them Bootlooped.
I did some research and someone mentioned Kernal issues, so I wiped everything and flashed MeanRom again (since it was the first that worked for me) after flashing the ROM, I used fastboot to boot the "boot.img" file that came from the zip file of the ROM. VOILA! it worked.... until I shut off the phone.... I'm back to the stock ROM right now and when I boot the "boot.img" file everything is great, but whenevery the phone gets shut off, when it's turned back on it just bootloops until I boot the "boot.img" file from the ROM zip. I'm completely lost here, not sure what's going on or what to do about it.
Sorry about the Wall of Text guys, but I wanted to give as much detail about my problem as possible. The more you know, the easier a solution can come ya know? Thanks in advance for any and all help.
