Root [CDMA] Just flashed viperROM, a few questions.

I just flashed viperROM Redline v2.1.1 with Tiamat 1.1 Sense kernel. So far it is amazing! It feels so much faster and fluid, I haven't encountered any hang ups or glitches, and the battery life so far seems much better.

My question is, why are the benchmarks so low on it? I tried both Linpack and Quadrant and my scores are significantly lower than stock with some bloat removed. Stock with bloat removed was getting me around 2400 in Quadrant, at 1.2GHz with viperROM I'm only at 1000ish. I overclocked to 1.5GHz using the viper control and I'm still only getting around 1500. I know that these numbers aren't supposed to mean much, but what is the explanation for this? I haven't done any 3D gaming yet, is my graphics suffering from something?

I come more from a PC overclocking background, so I'm used to benchmarks having some meaning to them.

I didn't adjust the min setting but I overclocked the max to 1.56GHz. The performance governor actually lowered my quadrant score.

Try the interactive governer my scores raised using that. I also ran the v6 suoercharger script and it raised my benchmarks by around 1k . Those tests aren't totally accurate though since they don't know how each device functions so i really wouldn't worry about the scores. I just run the tests to get an idea of how fast or slow it will be.

ViperROM undervolts your processor. This is done to save battery. But, with less voltage available to it, the processor will not perform as well when performing high-stress applications. To compensate, and also increase battery performance, they streamlined the heck out of the ROM. So it's still smooth and responsive, saves battery, but will not perform in benchmarks.
