Root [CDMA] New Service

So I recently came into owning an Evo, but I'm not going to sprint with it, Probably going to Metro or Boost. My question here is, am I going to have to put the stock ROM back on my phone before either carrier activates it? Or am I fine using the MIUI Rom I have on my phone currently? Thanks in Advance

Yes & no -
You will need a Sense based ROM - Stock not required...
MIUI is AOSP so you will need a different Rom to activate.
But Just make a nandroid and flash back after activation.

So I guess, now my issue is I can't flash anything BUT MIUI. I tried restoring my back-up for pre-MIUI (After I unlocked the bootloader), but it gets stuck on the boot (Htc - Quietly Brilliant). Trying to flash a new rom just makes it stick at the splash screen (HTC). But If I re-flash MIUI or recover from my MIUI Back-up. There are no problems. Am I missing a severe step here? I'm sure HBOOT 1.5 doesn't help, I hear there problems with it.

Flashgiude app is one of the best apps for the HTC HBoot 1.5 debacle. You could also use the Juniper method if you want to get S-off, if you feel confident enough, I have not tired it, but many say it takes 5 minutes, and works great, simply getting the timing right, [S-OFF] Juopunutbear S-OFF -Beta Release- Incl. 1.50 hboot (no downgrade)

Thanks a lot guys, I got it via the Flash GUI method as soon as I realized I had to flash the kernel/ROM separately. I actually got one of them to start loading (albeit a bootloop) definitely further process.
