Root [CDMA] Problems with root

I rooted my daughter's EVO 3d with Hboot version 1.3. I don't remember exactly method I used, but I think that it was revolutionary. I got superuser on the phone and s-off when the process was complete, but root apps won't work, and root checker says that I don't have proper root access. The phone works fine just no root. What am I missing?

A custom recovery and a rooted ROM, and probably the latest firmware.

Install this first: xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM] STOCK 2.17.651.5 Update.zip + Radio/Firmware bits

Rename that file to PG86IMG.zip (if it isn't already) then move it to your SD card (do not put it in a subfolder!). Then reboot the phone into bootloader mode (pull out battery, put it back in, push volume down + power). Then confirm you want to update.

Then follow this, just skip step 4 as it's for HBOOT 1.5 and you're already unlocked: http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all...shing-evo-3d-roms-kernels-using-fastboot.html
