Root [CDMA] [rooted] Complete reset?

Hey Hey!

Yesterday I took the leap and rooted my Evo 3D. Yay!
Used HTC Dev method. And then after some confusion as to the best root method ended up opting for 'SuperTool v3'.

Followed the SuperTool instructions and everything seemed to work well. Then, just to see if it would work I tried the 'De Sense' process offered by SuperTool. It appeared to work until I rebooted, the phone took an incredibly long time to get going again and when it finally did it appeared to have reset back to HTC Sense and deleted my info + apps.
I figured, fair enough. So, reinstalled all my apps + data. Everything was fine until today when after a casual reboot the phone stuck at the white HTC screen... I waited for a few minutes then pulled the battery and rebooted, and the phone appears, once again to have reset. haha.

Any ideas what the problem could be? Do I need to completely re-flash the OS?

Thanks in advance.

You need to install an alternate launcher (ADW, Launcher Pro, Go Launcher, etc etc) before 'de-sensing'. Although I'm not familiar with Super Tool's process, usually that's what 'de-sensing' means. It just removes as much of the Sense launcher/framework as possible while keeping the phone stable.

My recommendation is that, unless, you're familiar and like an alternative launcher, do not remove sense. Also, you may need a replacement lockscreen.

Thanks jerofld. That sounds like a good idea.
The supertool 'de sense' (I believe) attampted to overwrite some of the files in the firmware, replacing them with their stock Android counterparts. In retrospect, and considering I'm pretty new to all this, a simple launcher replacement was probably the best solution, haha.
