Root [CDMA] [rooted] Gmail sync issue

I have had this issue with a few evo 3ds, and the one i have now is rooted with Olympis XE, tried factory reset, still not syncing with my gmail, I have to hit refresh to get all my emails... I never had this issue with my Epic Touch 4g... Cab someone help?

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All Tab > Gmail > Clear data.

It happens on a number of Android handsets, not just the Evo 3D. But I always have to clear data on Gmail after flashing a new ROM and logging in with my Gmail account.
