Root [CDMA] rooted my phone, now what

the rom that was used to root sucks (laggy and slow), where do i go to get new roms.

also i cannot install any updates. they download, but after restarting it says it caint mount sd card and installation fails.

The best place is xda-developers. They even have an app. Look in the development section. The best advice I can give is read read read everything on that site.

It has a few ROMs listed. As well as commonly used root apps and things of that nature.

And once you root, taking OTAs isn't recommended. Unless you are on HBOOT 1.5 and need the most recent OTA for the firmware upgrades. But then I recommend you use the RUU that is also listed in the sticky.
