Lurker
Rooted my 3D Evo HTC method, problem when I flash a ROM some of them give me an erro E: can't open/tmp/sideload/package.zip. I have been able to flash a couple but when I try Hotspot or Wifi it won't work I just would like a stockish ROM with Hotspot Hacked any suggestions. Also if I do a factory reset it goes back into recovery and I have to use recovery to load a stock rom when I rooted I thought I backed up my original but must not have backed up how can I get it back to were it does a factory reset .

I tried one of the Clean roms when I download WIfi tether I open it and it says started but with errors also I noticed when i start Wifi it only says error.

How are you flashing your roms? How are you booting to recovery? What does phone say is your kernel and what android version are you on?

I boot into recovery by holding vol + power and flash rom, I have the Clean Rom 1.3 loaded now and the kernel says 2.6.35.13-g84f8edd android version 2.3.4. rooted a regular evo before I got this one with no problem, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Some files just come up and say E: can't open/tmp/sideload/package.zip but a couple have actually loaded. Thanks for responding and helping

Did read the instructions on how to work the wifi tether? You have to go into the settings and select "evo 3d" and check of "Clamp msg(or something like that)" and "routing fix"

I did the setttings changes and it says stating but with errors but cannot connect to it, what is the procedure for loading through fastboot is there a ROM that you'll would suggest that might work with hotspot or wifi tether even if I turn on WIFI it just says error where it normally says starting

flashed clean rom 1.3 again changed settings on wifi tether same result started with errors failed several things in log is there a way to start all over not sure what to do next
