Root [CDMA] Rooting help with new OTA.

Just to clarify,

If I have a stock ROM but am rooted, l will I be able to directly install this OTA update?

I have TWRP installed, and when I try to update it boots into it. Not sure how to proceed from here. I see the link to the stock rom with the update, but I don't want to have to flash a rom. Can I just run the update itself?

Hi,

I've moved your post and created a new thread for it in the All Things Root subforum. I would actually recommend you just skipping this OTA. There are many people who say the radios have been causing bootloops. And the only way to get those radios is to apply the most recent RUU and then re-root using the ROM and kernel from this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1443592

Full System/boot:
Stock odex + su + busybox (boot.img is completely stock, this is as close to stock with root as possible. you will need to turn on usbdebugging or flash insecure boot.img below. Thanks xhaus for updater script): Shooter_2.17.651.5_odexed_rooted-signed.zip MD5 4081d9ee14b56001e3313f4c9f8c46e4 Mirror1: http://www.multiupload.com/KT9WTYGBZE

And

Kernels
FULL Boot.img - stock_2.6.35.13-g27701_insecurebootimg.zip MD5 4226efeb9439e9b6fbb1b52bbd9cd7ee (insecure boot.img and modules. Will replace your current ramdisk) - http://www.multiupload.com/0WEVDGZ5HX -

I'd really just recommend you skipping it or installing a ROM with the OTA baked in and waiting to update the radios when ICS comes, because I'm sure the radios will update again with that.
