Root [CDMA] rooting methods same as thunderbolt?

Hi guys, i just rooter my thunderbolt and now my girlfriend wants me to root her evo 3d... Is it the same process with revolutionary? And for the 3d what is the most stock interface ROM? With the bolt im currently running cleantheory, didnt know if there was something comparable to that or not, any help is appreciated, thanks!
 
U need to check her hboot version. If it is 1.5 u have to root using HTC method if its 1.4 or lower u can use revolutionary
