Ok, so I have a CDMA HTC Evo 3d,Virgin Mobile, unlocked and rooted, and with recovery 4ext, HBOOTv 1.58.
So I finally want to get S-Off, for a "full" root and the ease of flashing custom roms. With my HBOOT version, I know I have to use the JuponutBear Wire Trick. But the error "Secondary Backup Failed" keeps coming up. I don't have HTC Sync downloaded on my PC and have no custom roms, only my 4ext recovery. I've searched wide but there is no clear answer as to this specific error.
