You could try going to the official slimkat thread to see if they have an answer. Or, you could flash a different rom.
I don't know why this would be, but I have heard some people say you need to flash stock rom, then flash cm variants and things should work.
Yes. I am not saying it will work, but I have read other people saying it will.
I believe so. Not sure about the bootloop. Make sure you wipe data and system before flashing. Slimkat may not wipe system before installing.

Yeah always wipe system that's why I use philz recovery does all most all wipes with one click minus davlik
I tried everything. Switching revoveries. Downloading different slim kats I just remain in the same bootloop. I have been up for 8 hours trying to figure it out. i will try one more time with slim kat. if it doesnt work im just going back to stock.
heres the steps I have done.
I go into philz recovery
I wipe data
wipe cache partition
and then I wipe the system.
I tried flashing the stock rom, but im unsure if that really works so I flash the slimkat and the the gapps for it.
i reboot into the phone and then i get stuck at a bootloop what am I doing wrong?

The best thing I could suggest is move on to a different rom. There are many out there for this device. If all else fails, stock is great and everything works.

if none of the roms work you could always use xposed on stock for the extra features that come in the custom roms.
