Root [CDMA] Stock kernel - no wifi?

Rooted last night and I'm far to tired to troubleshoot at the moment...My first flash was supra 1.4.1 and now I'm on viperRom... Both roms use stock kernel and to be sure, I reinstalled the stock kernel via recovery, but still cannot use wifi, xda isn't offering any help... Any ideas?? (I have the latest ota and run 2.3.4, I believe thats the problem)

I am running clean rom 2.3.4 base and wifi works great did u do a full wipe? If not give that a try. Also did u update radios? What have u done to troubleshoot. And have you tested your router?

My computer's on wifi and its not that the phone's scanning and cannot find one, i get an error where it'd normally say connected. how do I update radios? I've basically tried flashing different roms and reading up on the subject

Were you able to resolve this? I've been on viper, just flashed new kernel, and now I have same problem.

Wifi says it's on and scanning but won't pick up available wifi.

Help

Edit: I switched kernels, wifi issue seems resolved.
