Root [CDMA] Stuck on step 1 rooting

Ok I'm not sure what it is I am doing wrong but I have installed the fastboot drivers and I dowloaded the revolutionary file and executed but all i get in the dos prompt is waiting on device. I have usb debugging enabled, fastboot is still enabled, i have tried this with charge only option selected and disk drive option selected but i still get the same thing. Any ideas as to why it is not proceeding past the waiting for device screen? I've waited about ten minutes so I think its not an impatient issue. I am running windows 7 and downladed the appropriate file. Please help. Also I do apologize if this is posted in the wrong area.

Here are 3 very indepth guides. The first has a video, start there. Do you jave HTC Sync installed? if so uninstall it. This root method is still experimental, so it is not expected to work for all. Follow these guides to a t and report back

I received the "waiting for device " prompt but that was because I had not gone to hboot before hooking up to my pc and was after I had run Revolutionary. It didn't install cwm automatically so I had to install separately and that's when it happened.

i got the same "waiting for device" error. But Im pretty sure it was because I had already ran revolutionary the day before. Is this your first time running it?

If you see "waiting for device":

Uninstall HTC Sync. Make sure you have the fastboot drivers installed. If you installed HTC Sync, the drivers got installed with it, so you just need to uninstall Sync. Enable USB debugging (Settings > Applications > Development > USB debug). You can leave the phone on your home screen. Run the exe file and it'll show you your phone's SN. You then get a beta key from revolutionary.io. If you don't have javascript enabled (Chrome doesn't seem to, by default - I used IE), you'll never get the prompt. Get your key from the site and type it in exactly as you see it. The exe should take it from there.

Oh hey sorry I figured it out, I had to do a factory reset and then it seemed to work just fine. Any suggestions on ROM's?
