Root [CDMA] Trying to flash MeanROM and need help upgrading base to 651.5

Hi everyone,

I want to flash the newest MeanROM v4.5 to my phone and I get stuck in a bootloop after install. I went through and did a superwipe, cleared all cache, dalvik cache, i updated the radios with freezas all in one firmware update and still get stuck in the bootloop. From what I understand you need to be on the htc base 651.5 and I cant seem to figure out how to do that.

This is what I have now,
Software: MeanROM v2.6
Baseband: 1.06.00.1216
Build: 2.89.651.2 CL409645 release-keys
PRI: 1.43_003
PRL: 21092

Can someone help me with trying to figure out why it's getting stuck in a bootloop? Thanks!!

Saw you posted this question in the MeanROM thread, but what recovery are you using?

Also why are you wanting to flash a Rom that does not have any support anymore ?? There are many new and updated Roms out there, just curious. As DS mentioned if your going backwards, you will need to downgrade to avoid the old dreaded BLoops

TurboS81 - I'm using CWM for recovery.

DragonSlayer95 - Yes I am using hboot 1.58 and yes it is S off.

DonB - To be honest, I had no idea MeanROM didn't have any support anymore. I was just using it from the past and was having problem with the radios on my phone, so I wanted to update it or look for a new one. There's so many out there I just don't know which is the best one for the 3VO right now.

What ROM could you guys recommend that also has the 3D camera working too? Maybe something with jellybean too?

Anytime when flashing a sense Rom, be sure to look and see what it's base is.

2.17 - hboot 1.50

2.89 - hboot 1.58

If your open to trying aosp, you can't go wrong with PACMAN ;)

I've been without my 3vo for a while but im unsure if we have any jb roms with working 3D

Have you looked into trying out 4ext recovery as well? :)
 
Okay...that hboot breakdown you gave me helps me out a great deal now. Thanks so much for that!! Now I know what to look for :)

I have read a lot about that pacman ROM...I'll look into getting that one!

Actually I have also been reading about that 4ext recovery...is that the recommended choice nowadays?

I'm just now starting to get into the whole rooting thing, so I'm learning as I go...you guys are a HUGE help!!

That's what we are here for ;)

Over twrp and cwm, 4ext is definitely the recommended recovery to go with.

With aosp roms, you don't have to worry about checking its base though, that's only sense roms.
